The 2012 TRCCC Annual Meeting was held on February 22-24, 2012 at Seven Spring Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. The meeting focused on the latest activity in cancer vaccine and immune regulation, sharing progress on immunotherapy and related studies in the areas of:
- Adoptive cell therapy
- Innate immunity and tumor microenvironment
- Novel therapies
- Breast and GYN/ONC cancer
- Hematologic malignancy
- GI and urologic malignancy
- Melanoma
- Brain and other cancers
New to the conference in 2012 was the Advocate-Researcher Roundtable. TRCCC organizers felt the patient perspective was vital to this meeting, and welcomed survivor advocates to the 15th annual meeting in an to effort create dialogue between the research and patient communities in hopes of accelerating translational research. This new session was a great success and a welcomed addition to future TRCCC Annual Meetings.
